ABOUT BRM

Bogazici University is Turkey's one of the most prominent higher educational institution. Bogazici University Businesspeople Alumni Association (BRM) is an NGO where we collaborate to create shared value and social impact.

BRM advocates that shared value generation must become an integral part of corporate business models for income equality, global peace, and ecological sustainability. With this mission, we conduct programs supporting inclusive businesses, social entreprises and the social innovation ecosystem in general.

OUR TEAM

BRM members are the alumni of Bogazici University across various faculties and years. Our project teams consists of top level professionals working in multinational corporations, consultants with diverse array of expertise, innovative and energetic entrepreneurs.

OUR PROGRAMS

Social

Entrepreneurship

The program aims raising awareness on social entrepreneurship and provides training, mentoring, project development support, and networking opportunities to university students who consider SE as a career path. So far we have reached 1000 students in Istanbul, 200 students completed the capability building program, and 50 unique social impact project ideas were developed in collaboration with P&G, Interbank Credit Card Center (BKM), Besiktas Municipality, Eti Gıda and Kale Group.

BRM aims to lead the efforts advocating the concept of Inclusive Business in Turkey. As a first step BRM organized Turkey's first Inclusive Business Summit in 2016 in Istanbul. Over 200 people representing academia, corporations, NGOs, social enterprises, and international institutions such as UNDP, BCtA, and IFC attended the event and shared their know-how and vision on inclusive business applications. BRM is currently running its Corporate Social Innovation Program to encourage companies to address Sustainable Development Goals in every aspect of their business.

Boğaziçi Network

Bogazici.Network is BRM's online platform exclusive to Bogazici University alumni for communication, partnership building, joint project development, career opportunities, mentoring, and networking.
